Vaccine Awareness

Vaccines are safe and effective – and there’s still time to get vaccinated.

Each year— usually between October and May—COVID-19, flu and other potentially serious illnesses, such as RSV, spread rapidly, particularly among communities with low vaccination rates. That’s why it’s important for all Kentuckians to stay up to date on scheduled vaccinations. Vaccines are safe, effective and important for all Kentuckians to maintain their health and to help keep their communities safe from deadly diseases.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone 6 months and older receive important— sometimes lifesaving— immunizations. And they are particularly important for children, pregnant women and the elderly. If you do contract COVID-19, the flu or another virus, your vaccinations can help prevent hospitalization or worse health outcomes.

Vaccines save lives and are the best protection for yourself, your family and your community.

Our Goal

Voices for Vaccination is focused on providing credible vaccine information to Kentuckians and encouraging them to receive their scheduled vaccinations. This leads to a safer and healthier Kentucky!
